About Doon Animal Welfare Trust

Doon Animal Welfare Trust works tirelessly to rescue, treat, and rehabilitate cows subjected to cruelty, abandonment, and neglect in Dehradun. Currently, the Trust cares for over 2,000 cows, providing them with shelter, nutrition, medical attention, and lifelong protection. Through rescue efforts, medical treatment, and community engagement, the organization strives to foster a compassionate and responsible society.

Role Overview

We are seeking confident and responsible Fundraisers to join our Field Fundraising Team. Selected candidates will carry out daily field visits throughout Dehradun, engaging with individuals and community groups to communicate the Trust's mission and secure financial support for animal welfare initiatives. This role involves establishing partnerships with local corporations, educational institutions, and supporters to facilitate donation drives, monthly contribution programs, and CSR collaborations. Ideal candidates are mature, enjoy interacting with the public, and possess strong communication and persuasion abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily field visits across various locations in Dehradun including markets, residential areas, institutions, and community spaces to promote fundraising.
  • Effectively communicate the Trust's work and secure funds through monthly sponsorships, donations, and support programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, schools, and institutions to encourage collaboration and CSR involvement.
  • Identify and engage potential donors, influencers, and community leaders to expand support networks.
  • Represent the Trust professionally, building goodwill and community trust.
  • Document daily activities, donor interactions, and fundraising progress accurately.
  • Coordinate with office staff for managing documentation, receipts, donor onboarding, and follow-up activities.

Candidate Profile and Eligibility

  • Preferred candidates include retired personnel, defence veterans, school principals, senior teachers, education administrators, or those with backgrounds in marketing, sales, or corporate outreach.
  • Graduation is preferred but not mandatory if strong relevant experience exists.
  • Excellent communication skills in Hindi required, English proficiency is an advantage.
  • Confident demeanor with strong public interaction and persuasion skills.
  • Willingness to undertake extensive fieldwork and travel within Dehradun.
  • Basic proficiency with smartphones for reporting and communication tasks.
  • Passion for animal welfare and social impact is essential.
  • Experience in marketing, public relations, fundraising, outreach, or sales is beneficial.
  • Ability to support awareness campaigns, camps, and charity events as needed.
