Opportunities Overview

Currently, DOF Australia is inviting Expressions of Interest for future openings in Integrated Rating, Marine Engineer, and Deck Officer Cadetships and Traineeships. Though no active recruitment is underway at this time, we welcome candidates to register their interest for upcoming opportunities. Please review the specific eligibility criteria for each program below before submitting your Expression of Interest.

Integrated Rating Traineeship

As a Trainee Integrated Rating, you will support experienced Deck and Engine crew members in ensuring safe and efficient vessel operations through diverse tasks such as repainting or assisting in the engine room or on deck under supervision. Commitment to safety and adaptability are crucial.

  • Currently employed in the marine industry and/or pursuing a marine qualification
  • Strong adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards

Marine Engineer Cadetship

The Marine Engineering Cadet will aid in the engineering functions aboard advanced offshore vessels, emphasizing enthusiasm and safety consciousness.

  • Preferably enrolled at the Australian Maritime College (AMC) in a Bachelor of Applied Science (Marine Engineering) or equivalent program
  • Capable of obtaining and maintaining a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
  • Prior maritime operations experience is a plus but not mandatory

Deck Officer Cadetship

This role involves gaining knowledge in deck operations and assisting Deck Officers in navigation to pave the way towards becoming a qualified Deck Officer.

  • Preferably enrolled at the Australian Maritime College (AMC) in a Bachelor of Applied Science (Nautical Science) or equivalent
  • Maritime operational experience is advantageous but not required
