Role Overview

We seek an Experienced Audit Associate with 2-3 years of hands-on audit and assurance experience in a chartered accountancy environment to join our Audit, Assurance and Reporting Advisory team in Hamilton.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver presentations of findings and provide actionable recommendations to clients.
  • Review reports, memoranda, and related deliverables to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Utilize analytical thinking to resolve issues and offer insights that support clients’ business strategies.
  • Address complex audit and risk advisory challenges by understanding relevant issues and stakeholder needs.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, team members, and other stakeholders through positive communication.
  • Provide outstanding client service while fostering collaboration across different businesses and locations.

Qualifications & Expertise

  • Two to three years of auditing experience within a chartered accountancy firm.
  • Solid working knowledge of IFRS and New Zealand accounting standards.
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Accounting.
  • Full membership of CAANZ, or actively pursuing this qualification.
  • Strong analytical and numerical aptitude with proficiency in Excel.
  • Effective project management capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Well-developed research and problem-solving skills.
