Role Summary

The Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning will shape the company’s medium- and long-range strategy and make sure those priorities are translated into results across the business. The position serves as the link between strategy formation and day-to-day execution, ensuring that corporate direction is reflected in market analysis, planning, project delivery, and performance management. The overall goal is to support lasting growth and strengthen competitive advantage.

Strategic Planning and Direction

  • Develop medium- to long-term growth strategies and business plans for the company.
  • Study industry developments, market conditions, and competitive positioning to generate strategic insights.
  • Contribute to research on major business directions, investment opportunities, and future development paths.
  • Create frameworks and management systems that support strategic planning.

Strategy Execution

  • Translate corporate strategic objectives into annual operating targets and delivery plans.
  • Lead follow-through on key strategic initiatives and monitor their progress.
  • Set up tracking systems for strategy execution and KPI performance.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources to remove major issues affecting execution.

Business Analysis and Decision Support

  • Analyze markets, competitors, and business models to support planning decisions.
  • Prepare strategic reports and recommendations for senior management.
  • Assess new business opportunities and areas for expansion.
  • Support leadership in operational decisions and resource allocation.

Strategic Projects and Transformation

  • Coordinate major strategic programs and cross-department initiatives.
  • Manage priorities, resources, and risks across key projects.
  • Drive change initiatives, business optimization efforts, and strategic transformation work.
  • Ensure strategic programs are delivered on time and to a high standard.

Collaboration and Performance Management

  • Work closely with business, finance, marketing, product, and operations teams to advance strategic goals.
  • Build and maintain KPI and OKR-based performance assessment systems.
  • Align company strategy with departmental goals and operating plans.
  • Improve execution speed and organizational responsiveness.

Team Leadership

  • Lead teams focused on strategic planning, business analysis, and strategic operations.
  • Create development pathways for talent in strategy-related roles.
  • Improve team processes and analytical capability.
  • Build a high-performance strategy organization.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or above is required; backgrounds in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Strategic Management are preferred.
  • More than 20 years of experience in strategic planning, corporate development, or business operations is expected.
  • At least 8 to 15+ years in senior management roles is required.
  • Prior experience leading strategy planning and execution in large organizations is important.
  • Knowledge of business analysis, market research, and business model design methods is needed.
  • Strong analytical thinking, logic, and judgment are essential.
  • Excellent cross-functional coordination and project leadership skills are required.
  • Ability to support top management on complex business decisions is expected.
