Executive Vice President of Regional Operations

Position summary

The Executive Vice President of Regional Operations will provide senior-level leadership for the company’s regional footprint, with responsibility for operational performance, business expansion, financial outcomes, workforce leadership, customer experience, compliance, and the execution of enterprise strategy across several markets. This executive role works directly with the CEO and the wider leadership team to strengthen efficiency, profitability, and sustainable regional growth.

Executive leadership

• Create and carry out regional operating plans that support the organization’s business goals and long-term direction.
• Exercise executive oversight across multiple regional offices, business units, and operations teams.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leaders on market potential, regional results, and operational exposure.
• Champion company-wide initiatives that improve consistency, scalability, and overall organizational performance.

Regional operations

• Lead daily operations across assigned regions to ensure efficient and reliable service delivery.
• Set operating standards, policies, and best practices for all regional sites.
• Track performance trends and implement ongoing improvement measures.
• Keep regional execution aligned with corporate goals while responding to local business requirements.

Financial and business performance

• Own regional P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Build and monitor KPIs tied to productivity, profitability, customer satisfaction, and operating efficiency.
• Spot opportunities to grow revenue, reduce costs, and improve overall business performance.
• Present operational and financial updates to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.

Expansion and strategy

• Spearhead regional growth plans, including entry into new markets, scaling operations, and strategic expansion programs.
• Identify new market opportunities and translate them into regional growth strategies.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, integration work, and strategic partnership efforts.
• Work closely with Business Development and Corporate Strategy teams to accelerate growth.

Cross-functional partnership

• Collaborate with teams in Finance, Human Resources, Sales, Marketing, Product, Technology, Legal, and Compliance.
• Ensure regional operations stay aligned with enterprise-wide strategic priorities.
• Encourage collaboration and shared learning across regional leadership groups.
• Provide operational support for company-wide initiatives and digital transformation efforts.

Compliance and risk management

• Maintain compliance with corporate policies, applicable industry regulations, labor laws, and operational standards.
• Design and maintain risk management and business continuity plans.
• Oversee health, safety, security, and quality assurance programs where relevant.
• Identify operational risks and put mitigation plans in place.

Leadership and organizational development

• Lead, coach, and develop Regional Vice Presidents, Directors, and Operations Managers.
• Build succession planning frameworks and executive development programs.
• Promote a workplace culture centered on accountability, collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Support employee engagement and organizational growth across all regional operations.

Qualifications

This position calls for a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Engineering, or a closely related discipline; an MBA is preferred. Applicants should bring at least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, regional management, or executive roles, along with demonstrated success leading multi-site, multi-regional, or international businesses. Strong capability in P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, operational excellence, transformation, and strategic planning is required, as well as excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills. The role also requires the ability to guide large, geographically dispersed teams in fast-moving business settings.

Preferred background

Experience in fintech, cryptocurrency, financial services, technology, SaaS, logistics, healthcare, retail, or another fast-growing industry is advantageous. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and related operational excellence methods is also valued. Prior involvement in mergers and acquisitions, post-merger integration, or enterprise transformation initiatives is preferred. Strong command of ERP platforms, business intelligence tools, and executive performance dashboards is beneficial, along with international business experience and cross-cultural leadership ability. Executive leadership certifications or operational excellence credentials would be a plus.
