Executive Procurement – Capex and MRO

Role Overview

This position is for an Executive Procurement professional based at Bangalore HO, with a strong focus on Capex and MRO sourcing within the FMCG sector. The role calls for hands-on experience in procurement process improvement, contract administration, vendor development, savings generation, working capital support, and compliance management.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle procurement for MRO and Capex categories, including engineering capex, plant and machinery, spares, AMCs, ARCs, and operations manpower contracts.
• Drive sourcing activities, commercial negotiations, and strategic supplier selection.
• Manage contracts and rate contracts end-to-end, ensuring terms are finalized before purchase orders are released.
• Track supplier performance using scorecards and review delivery quality, timelines, and service standards.
• Improve the PR-to-PO workflow by coordinating with internal stakeholders and strengthening planning through MRP inputs.
• Ensure purchase orders are issued accurately with no scope errors and proper reporting in SAP MM.
• Monitor open purchase orders and follow up to secure on-time delivery.
• Support vendor due diligence and compliance closure through SHINE and ensure adherence to the Heineken Supplier Code Version 4.
• Promote procurement discipline across plant operations and support catalogue buying and MSS standardization initiatives.
• Track savings, validate them through digital systems, and contribute to working capital improvement through payment term discipline.
• Manage GRN follow-ups and invoice closures while maintaining strong coordination with stakeholders.
• Prepare monthly plant-wise procurement performance analytics and maintain a service-oriented, zero-escalation approach.

Experience and Competency Highlights

The profile emphasizes strong capability in contract management, vendor development, spend analysis, compliance readiness, and stakeholder management. It also includes exposure to solar power purchase agreements, diesel and energy procurement, and sourcing of boiler feedstock such as husk and briquettes.

Systems and Tools

Working knowledge of SAP across PR, PO, GRN, and vendor management activities is important. The role also uses MRP planning tools along with procurement analytics and reporting systems.

Performance Measures

The role is expected to contribute to shorter PR-to-PO cycle times, stronger vendor ratings, high contract spend coverage, error-free PO creation, timely compliance closure, better working capital outcomes, and measurable cost savings.
