About the role

A fast-growing technology startup in New York is looking for a highly organized Executive/Personal Assistant to support its Founder and CEO. The role blends business and personal support in roughly equal measure, so the ideal candidate will be equally comfortable managing executive operations and handling sensitive personal coordination. This is a trusted, highly visible position that interacts with leaders, investors, clients, and the broader team.

The work arrangement is hybrid, with three days onsite and two days working from home. Standard hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm, though the person in this role should be ready to start early or stay late when needed. Compensation includes a $120,000 to $140,000 base salary, plus equity and benefits. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

What you will do

  • Take full ownership of the CEO’s calendar, balancing leadership meetings, client conversations, investor touchpoints, board commitments, press requests, and personal appointments while adjusting priorities in real time.
  • Act as the first line of response for incoming requests, sorting email and correspondence, drafting replies, and deciding what needs immediate attention.
  • Organize leadership meetings and offsite sessions, including agendas, supporting materials, and follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate scheduling for conferences, sales-related outreach, investor communications, media requests, and speaking opportunities on behalf of the CEO.
  • Manage end-to-end travel planning such as flights, hotels, cars, restaurants, itineraries, and visa or passport needs, while serving as the main contact during travel.
  • Arrange executive dinners and events, covering venue selection, contract details, menus, and guest coordination.
  • Oversee household administration, including vendor appointments, deliveries, service visits, and communication with building staff.
  • Support personal and family logistics, gift planning, and event coordination from start to finish.
  • Assist with broader office and team needs as they come up, always handling information and situations with strict confidentiality.

What we are looking for

  • At least 5 years of experience supporting a CEO, founder, or high-net-worth individual, ideally in a fast-growing startup or smaller company environment.
  • Strong project management and coordination abilities.
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Slack, and Notion.
  • Excellent judgment and discretion when dealing with private, financial, and business-sensitive information.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly.
  • Willingness to be available outside regular business hours when required.
  • Experience or familiarity with ecommerce, AdTech, MarTech, or consumer tech is a bonus.
  • Ability to use AI-based tools for drafting, research, and scheduling is an added advantage.

Compensation and benefits

The package includes a base salary of $120,000 to $140,000, along with equity and benefits.

Additional information

This position is split approximately 50/50 between business support and personal support. The role may involve work outside normal business hours depending on business needs and personal priorities.
