Executive N - Production

Role Overview

This position is part of the Supply Chain function at Asian Paints in Satara, Maharashtra. The role focuses on production planning, quality monitoring, shop floor coordination, and continuous improvement activities for the block.

Planning

• Plan paint and emulsion batches, along with inventory requirements.
• Review the current month’s targets every fortnight and align them with the team during TBT discussions.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and create maintenance orders as needed.
• Set up the TBT schedule.
• Prepare shift rosters and coordinate TM leave planning according to the advance leave schedule.

Quality

• Prepare QR MFG 001, QR MFG 002, and QR MFG 25 quality records and send them to SCRS and the relevant plant contacts.
• Review the previous month’s QR PRD 20 for in-process deviations.
• Monitor the Quality Rating Index and process hygiene.
• Manage documentation control and record suggestions for improvement.

Operational Responsibilities

• Track cycle times for Reactor, LDV/TSD, and mixers.
• Monitor scrap movement and analyze scrap generation trends.
• Review operational results and performance data.
• Assess goals and create the monthly plan accordingly.
• Prepare the weekly PPT.
• Follow up on one recurring issue on a daily basis.
• Review batches with low Quality Rate Index.
• Plan and participate in daily shop floor meetings (SBT - Shift Based Team).
• Review HIRA every month.
• Apply TRACC practices, evaluate team performance for the block, and review 5S and Red Tag areas.

Improvement Initiatives

• Identify new Kaizens for implementation.
• Spot improvement opportunities and raise requests for logic changes where required.
• Improve accuracy and FLL by identifying root causes and reducing errors.
