Job description

Company Overview

Hope Initiative Alliance (HIA) is a Singapore-registered charity with Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status. Its work centres on uplifting underserved groups, including local citizens and residents as well as migrant workers.

Hope Village is HIA’s new community initiative at Kaki Bukit Recreation Centre (KBRC). It is designed as a welcoming, inclusive place where migrant workers and migrant domestic workers can rest, connect with others, and take part in purposeful programmes during their time away from work.

As one of Singapore’s important recreation spaces for migrant workers, Hope Village brings together community outreach, volunteer engagement, partnerships, and programmes that promote wellbeing, social connection, and dignity. Through regular activities, events, and collaborations with community, corporate, and public partners, the centre seeks to offer a safe, lively environment where migrant workers feel recognised and supported.

Role Summary

The Executive / Coordinator for Engagement at Hope Village is responsible for helping deliver meaningful community engagement through partnerships, volunteer coordination, outreach efforts, membership engagement, and events and programmes. The role helps ensure that activities are inclusive, well organised, and aligned with the needs of the community.

Working with both internal teams and external stakeholders, this person will turn engagement plans into smooth on-the-ground execution and support Hope Village’s goal of being a vibrant, inclusive community space.

The position calls for a diploma or degree in community development, social services, arts management, or a related discipline.

Candidates should have an interest in, or prior experience with, community engagement or social service work.
