Role overview

This senior leadership position is focused on running and improving the company’s everyday operations so that work is efficient, productive, profitable, and aligned with long-term business goals. The role calls for someone who can shape operational direction, guide teams across functions, and strengthen business processes while keeping the organization on track with its strategic priorities.

What you will do

  • Direct daily operations across departments and business units to keep work moving smoothly.
  • Create and roll out operating policies, procedures, and plans that support company objectives.
  • Find ways to improve efficiency, output, and cost control through operational enhancements.
  • Track KPIs and other operational measures to confirm that business targets are being met.
  • Work closely with executive leaders to plan and execute major strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee budgets, forecasting, and allocation of resources to strengthen performance.
  • Ensure the organization follows internal policies, industry rules, and quality expectations.
  • Spot operational risks and put mitigation plans in place to protect business continuity.
  • Lead change efforts and continuous improvement programs across the organization.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams so business operations are carried out effectively.
  • Manage workforce planning, employee development, and performance processes within operational teams.
  • Review and introduce technology tools that improve operational efficiency.
  • Maintain effective relationships with clients, vendors, partners, and other important stakeholders.
  • Prepare operational reports and deliver performance updates to executive leadership and the board.

What we are looking for

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Management, Finance, Engineering, or a closely related discipline; an MBA is preferred.
  • At least 15 years of progressive experience in operations management, including work at senior leadership level.
  • Background in leading large-scale operational functions and managing teams across multiple departments.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, process improvement, and organizational development.
  • Hands-on experience with budgeting, financial review, and performance management.
  • Excellent skills in leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Comfort working with multiple priorities in a fast-moving business environment.

Preferred strengths

  • Experience with strategic planning and organizational change at scale.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or similar operational excellence approaches.
  • Strong project management and change management capabilities.
  • Exposure to enterprise systems and business process automation tools.
  • Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams spread across several locations.
