About the Role
Beauty Co-Lab (BCL) is a customized Omnicom Media Group team built specifically for L’Oréal USA. The group is designed to accelerate business growth and organizational transformation through audience-led, full-funnel, omnichannel work supported by strong capabilities in data and technology.
The wider mission behind L’Oréal is to create beauty that moves the world. With more than 100 years of heritage, the company focuses on delivering beauty that is high in quality, effective, safe, sincere, and responsible, while serving the many different beauty needs of people worldwide. L’Oréal’s portfolio includes 36 brands across four divisions: dermatology, professional haircare, luxe, and consumer products.
Beauty Co-Lab supports this ambition through a specialized team covering retail and media strategy, audience planning, activation, and business analysis. The team works in a fast-changing environment and is passionate about beauty, media, data, and technology.
Beauty Co-Lab, backed by OMG, is hiring a Client Business Lead to support the PPD division. The role centers on account leadership, growth, profitability, and client satisfaction, while managing a cross-functional team and building strong client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct a team and coordinate strategic deliverables across seven brands: Kerastase, Redken, L’Oréal Pro, Matrix, Biolage, Pureology, and Color WOW, while also improving the quality of output for the broader team.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with Beauty Co-Lab business leads across the division, other divisions, and senior PPD stakeholders at L’Oréal by developing a deep understanding of their priorities and acting as a strategic advisor.
- Bring forward proactive, forward-looking ideas that help grow the client’s business and support transformation goals for the PPD division.
- Lead and align a multidisciplinary team spanning strategy, planning, investment and activation, business analytics, retail, and related functions by setting a clear direction, encouraging accountability, and developing future leaders.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities by understanding L’Oréal’s key business priorities and creating a roadmap focused on transformation and acceleration.
- Drive Beauty Co-Lab’s “Agency as a Platform” approach by embedding creativity, technology, and data into the client relationship to support growth.
Candidate Profile
- Experienced business leader with executive presence, strong energy, and a future-oriented mindset, able to lead with integrity, flexibility, and inclusion.
- Client-first advisor who can form strategic partnerships built on trust and respect, enabling deeper business insight and supporting organic growth.
- Hands-on media leader with a strong background in omni-channel campaign development and execution, including strategy, planning, media buying, investment, and analytics.
- Commercially sharp professional with a solid understanding of operating models, P&L, and growth drivers, and able to identify both quick wins and longer-term opportunities.
- Strategic yet detail-focused leader who can zoom into problems when needed, diagnose issues, and work across the BCL and OMG organizations to drive transformation.
- Action-oriented decision-maker who understands the importance of speed, can make thoughtful risks, and helps create a culture of continuous improvement.
Critical Experience and Skills
- Demonstrated success in building credible relationships with C-suite clients on at least one large account, with ideally 15+ years of experience in agency marketing services and client leadership.
- Working knowledge of finance and resource planning models used to support business and growth decisions.
- Proven ability to turn client relationships into strong creative output and organic growth.
- Comfort working across many stakeholders and seniority levels within both client and internal organizations.
- Capability to improve team structures and operating models to deliver across all assignments with strategic thinking and high standards.
- Ability to lead authentically and effectively across different environments and cultures.
- Strong strategic judgment paired with a data-led approach to decision-making and action.
- Comfort operating in complex, ambiguous environments with curiosity and a willingness to bring fresh thinking.
- Solid understanding of retail media, ecosystem connections, and seasonal selling cycles, especially as they relate to the category.
