Overview
Navion Senior Solutions is hiring an Executive Director for Carolina Reserve of Durham in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina. This leadership role is responsible for guiding the community’s day-to-day operations, financial performance, team leadership, and resident experience within an Assisted Living and Memory Care setting.
The Executive Director is expected to be a strong, people-focused manager who can inspire teams, communicate clearly, and build a workplace centered on growth, accountability, and excellent care. The role also includes close oversight of the community’s financial health and regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming, open-door environment that supports positive relationships with residents, families, friends, and staff.
- Model strong communication and leadership while maintaining careful attention to resident care and overall well-being.
- Establish quality standards and help strengthen trust and collaboration with families.
- Direct all operational areas, including care services, dining, and facilities, to meet or surpass the organization’s operating expectations.
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team.
- Oversee the community’s financial management and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Lead sales and marketing efforts to achieve occupancy and revenue goals.
Requirements
- A genuine commitment to serving seniors.
- Current Administrator license in the applicable state.
- Experience as an Executive Director or Administrator is preferred.
- Background in managing a team of 10 or more people, including hiring, coaching, performance management, daily supervision, and discipline when needed.
- Proven experience handling annual operating expenses of at least $1 million.
- Sales or business development experience is preferred, especially with building local relationships, supporting business growth, and improving pricing and revenue results.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to lead small-group presentations.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office and the willingness to learn new software tools.
