About the Role and Organization
The Web Marketing unit oversees Cisco's worldwide digital presence across multiple platforms including Cisco.com, Splunk.com, and ThousandEyes.com, servicing millions of users annually. This team is dedicated to crafting a smooth, top-tier digital experience through teamwork, ingenuity, and operational excellence. In this role, you will provide executive support to one or two Vice Presidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the VP’s calendar by prioritizing appointments and meetings, controlling access and attendance decisions.
- Coordinate speaking engagements by maintaining a schedule and collaborating with the communications team ensuring all content preparation is on track.
- Organize and plan meetings, including crafting agendas, securing venues, managing technology needs, and preparing briefing materials and follow-up actions.
- Prepare detailed travel packs for international and significant domestic events, consolidating event details, travel logistics, and stakeholder requirements.
- Support correspondence and approvals on behalf of the VP, resolving issues autonomously within policy, mentoring administrative colleagues, and advising when executive intervention is required.
- Manage complex global travel arrangements, optimizing itineraries and expense handling while liaising directly with airlines to leverage benefits like upgrades.
- Conduct research and data analysis to assist the VP with special projects, providing comprehensive reports.
- Offer executive support during major corporate functions such as GSX by preparing itineraries and providing on-site assistance.
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality with sensitive materials.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
Ideal candidates bring at least four years in an administrative role, with a minimum of two years supporting senior leaders at director level or above, comfortable handling a busy workload in a dynamic environment. Strong interpersonal and communication expertise are essential, alongside the ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment. A passion for expansive thinking and problem-solving is expected.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Four or more years in administrative support; two years supporting directors or senior roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experienced in managing calendars, coordinating meetings, and organizing travel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for engaging with all organizational levels and clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the technology sector, ideally prior tenure at Cisco.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated salary range in the U.S. and Canadian markets is approximately $97,700 to $129,800 annually, excluding bonuses, equity, or benefits. Salary varies by location, experience, and qualifications.
