About the role
Macpac is seeking an Executive Assistant & Office Manager to sit at the centre of its Support Office in Christchurch, helping the Managing Director, Leadership Team, and Basecamp crew keep the workplace running smoothly. This position blends high-level executive support with office and workplace management, events coordination, and operational oversight to keep people connected, informed, and productive.
Key responsibilities
- Provide reliable and confidential support to the Managing Director and Leadership Team, including diary coordination, meeting preparation, travel arrangements, correspondence, and general administration.
- Plan and deliver leadership events and team routines by handling end-to-end logistics such as speakers, venues, travel, and stakeholder experience.
- Take ownership of day-to-day office operations, including workspaces, supplies, internal systems, and communications, to maintain a safe, organised, and efficient environment.
- Coordinate facilities, contractors, and fleet-related activity by managing maintenance, supplier relationships, and safety compliance in partnership with DC Management.

- The Managing Director, as the main point of contact.
- Macpac’s Leadership Team, including four General Managers.
- Executive Assistant peers across the wider Super Retail Group.
- Internal teams based at Macpac Basecamp.
- External suppliers, venues, and contractors.
What you bring
- Experience supporting senior leaders in an Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant capacity.
- A strong background in office, workplace, or facilities management.
- Excellent organisation skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a proactive way of working.
- Confidence juggling several stakeholders and shifting priorities.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience managing suppliers, service providers, and contracts.
- Comfort using modern workplace systems and digital tools.
- A steady, adaptable approach that stays calm under pressure and thinks ahead.
