Job description

Role Overview

Disney Kids & Family is hiring a highly organized, proactive Executive Assistant to support two Vice Presidents in Development. The role calls for strong precision, clear communication, and the ability to perform effectively in a busy, fast-moving environment.

Key Duties

  • Keep the executives’ calendars and office running smoothly, with close attention to deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Handle substantial calendar coordination, manage a high volume of emails and phone calls, submit expense reports, process purchasing requests for supplies, and arrange travel.
  • Create simple reporting grids in Excel.
  • Maintain and organize contact databases for writers, producers, creative executives, and related correspondence.
  • Support other executives and the department as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of prior administrative assistant experience in a high-volume entertainment desk environment at a studio, network, production company, or talent agency.
  • Proven ability to coordinate several projects at the same time.
  • Ability to keep executive calendars and offices organized while staying aligned with priorities and deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of television development processes and cycles.
  • Familiarity with agencies and networks.
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight.
  • Open to overtime on short notice.
  • Able to perform well under pressure.
  • Strong organizational ability and close attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Genuine interest in television and a long-term career in TV.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience using cloud-based file management tools such as Dropbox.

Education

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this Burbank, CA role is $54,000 to $72,400 per year, based on a 40-hour workweek. Scheduled weekly hours may change depending on business needs. The final base salary may also reflect internal equity, the candidate’s location, and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Depending on the level and position, the package may include a bonus and/or long-term incentive units, along with the full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
