Job description

Role overview

PwC Ireland is hiring an Executive Assistant to join its growing Core Administration Hub within Business Enablement Services. In this associate-level role, you will provide high-quality, senior administrative support to designated firm partners and help keep business operations running smoothly.

The Business Administration function focuses on practical, business-oriented workplace solutions across the firm. Its four hubs cover Core Administration, Commercial Operations, Events and Travel, and Documentation. This position sits in the Core Administration area and supports partner-facing work that helps client service teams perform effectively.

This opportunity is designed for someone who wants to build a broader understanding of the firm, strengthen technical and interpersonal skills, and work closely with stakeholders across different parts of the business. You will report to a Team Leader and have a Career Coach to support your development.

What you will do

  • Provide dedicated executive-level administrative support to partners.
  • Own incoming queries and issues, resolving them where possible or escalating them appropriately.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure firm policies, procedures, and deadlines are met.
  • Prepare complex and sensitive written communications on behalf of partners.
  • Coordinate meetings in advance, manage logistics, and flag scheduling conflicts early.
  • Attend meetings when needed and produce clear, actionable minutes.
  • Track follow-up actions and help ensure commitments are completed.
  • Support project coordination by attending project meetings when requested and aligning on requirements, timelines, and next steps.
  • Manage partner inboxes and prioritise urgent or critical messages.
  • Handle confidential information and sensitive documents with care and discretion.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Liaise with the Business Administration hubs and regional offices as needed.
  • Delegate transactional tasks where appropriate to balance workload effectively.
  • Draft stakeholder emails and support decision-making conversations with relevant contacts.
  • Help colleagues and stakeholders build confidence using firmwide systems.
  • Take on informal coaching responsibilities for junior team members when required.
  • Contribute to team initiatives, learning activities, and other ad hoc duties as needed.

What we are looking for

  • Secondary-level education plus a relevant post-secondary qualification.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role supporting senior executives or management teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, coordinate tasks, and balance competing stakeholder priorities.
  • Experience dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, changing environment with resilience and flexibility.
  • Evidence of strong organisational discipline and a commitment to ongoing self-development.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence others.
  • Ability to build internal and external networks that support business goals.
  • Adaptability and a collaborative mindset, including openness to process improvement and firm initiatives.
  • Inclusive working style with awareness of cultural differences and respect for diversity.

You will be expected to actively seek feedback, focus on continuous improvement, and attend regular career coach catch-ups to support your development. PwC also highlights that applicants do not need to meet every listed requirement to be considered.
