Role overview
Deckers Brands is looking for an Event Operations Associate to support the HOKA North America Events team. This position plays a key role in keeping the event calendar running smoothly by handling coordination, tracking, and operational support for day-to-day event needs.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Events - HOKA NA, you will manage shipping and transportation requests for North American events, act as the primary contact for the asset warehouse, and provide support in areas such as agency coordination, budget monitoring, and fabrication requests.
This is a remote U.S. role, and candidates must live in one of the approved states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Indiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, or Washington.
Key impact areas
- Own the coordination of shipping and transport requirements for HOKA North America events and activations.
- Act as the day-to-day contact for the asset warehouse, including Soul Focus Sports.
- Help maintain event calendar discipline and ensure requests and timelines stay aligned with governance standards.
- Support agency relationships by tracking assets, monitoring inventory, and keeping materials organized and in good condition.
- Partner with event owners and agency teams on new fabrication requests.
- Attend events when needed to support setup, teardown, logistics, and activation staffing.
- Track team budgets and invoices, and support planning discussions tied to event presence and activation concepts.
- Maintain SharePoint content, build presentation deck templates, and complete other administrative tasks as needed.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate has a background in marketing or a related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and experience. You should have some experience supporting events or marketing work, be comfortable in a fast-moving environment, and be able to manage multiple priorities with care and precision.
Success in this role requires strong communication skills, solid problem-solving ability, and confidence working across different teams and stakeholders. A positive, energetic approach and a collaborative mindset are important, along with strong attention to detail and good organizational habits.
Experience and skills
- 0 to 2 years of relevant marketing experience; exposure to footwear or retail is preferred.
- Previous involvement in event coordination and marketing support work.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to prepare information clearly, present ideas effectively, and respond to questions from managers, clients, and teammates.
- Experience navigating complex organizations and balancing competing demands.
- Comfort with multitasking in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
- Ability to support event and promotional execution work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational discipline.
- Awareness of current fitness and running industry trends, plus the ability to gather competitor insights and outside inspiration.
Compensation and benefits
The posted pay range for this position is $31.15 to $38.94 per hour, based on the estimated new-hire range for Goleta, California (Remote). Final pay will depend on location, relevant experience, job-related skills, and education or training.
