Role Overview
The Event Manager position is available in Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne and involves comprehensive management of events throughout Australia from concept to completion. This role demands a proactive, creative, and resourceful individual comfortable managing multiple tasks and senior stakeholders simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee entire event lifecycle including concept pitching, deadline coordination, contract negotiations, supplier collaboration, stakeholder engagement, preparation of pre-event documentation, on-site management, and post-event evaluation.
- Deliver compelling presentations and pitches of event concepts to senior stakeholders, responding constructively to feedback and offering innovative solutions.
- Exhibit strong financial acumen by managing client budgets, negotiating pricing, and aligning resources for effective event delivery.
- Maintain exceptional customer service standards with clear, persuasive written and verbal communication and rigorous attention to detail.
- Establish and nurture enduring client relationships to become their preferred event management contact for future projects.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Minimum of four years' experience managing corporate events, with proven ability to lead onsite teams and coordinate intricate supplier and stakeholder frameworks.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail to juggle multiple simultaneous events efficiently.
- Adaptable, hardworking, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced scale-up environment, demonstrating a positive, proactive demeanor.
