Job Overview
JAMS.TV Pty Ltd is seeking dedicated event coordination and RSA certified interpreter staff to assist with a municipal business negotiation event in Sydney scheduled for September 2026. The role involves supporting exhibitor booths, facilitating tastings where applicable, distributing catalogs, providing Japanese-English interpretation during business discussions, and performing related event tasks.
Key Duties
- Assist in managing exhibitor booths during the event
- Provide tasting of samples and beverages (depending on booth requirements)
- Hand out catalogs to attendees
- Offer interpretation services between Japanese and English at negotiation sessions
- Carry out other event-related operational responsibilities

September 14, 2026 (Monday) - Gifu Prefecture Sake Brewery Business Meeting
Venue: JETRO Sydney, Level 15, Governor Macquarie Tower, 1 Farrer Place, Sydney NSW 2000
Event involves a pre-booked business meeting between four Gifu sake breweries seeking overseas market expansion and buyers, followed by an industry-related tasting event featuring seven breweries.
Shift Options:
① Pre-booked meeting plus tasting session: 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM (1-hour break; 5 working hours)
② Tasting session only: 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM (3 working hours)
September 15, 2026 (Tuesday) - Niigata Prefecture Business Meeting
Venue: Centred – Central Square, 323 Castlereagh Street, Sydney NSW 2000
Features pre-booked meetings with Japanese sake producers as well as food and kitchenware companies.
Working hours: 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold a valid Australian work visa
- Available to work on the specified dates
- Proficient English skills sufficient for business interpretation
- RSA certification preferred for handling alcohol-serving booths; however, candidates without RSA can apply for interpretation-only booths
Compensation
Pay rate is $33.05 per hour.
