Role Overview
ABM Industries is hiring a dependable Janitorial Cleaner for evening shifts in Tallassee, Alabama. The position involves keeping assigned spaces clean, sanitary, and organized so the workplace remains safe and presentable for employees, clients, and visitors. This role is well suited to someone with prior cleaning experience, as well as individuals who are new to the workforce or returning after a break with limited experience or education.

Responsibilities
- Carry out everyday cleaning work such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and other surfaces.
- Disinfect restrooms, restock consumables, and help maintain required hygiene levels.
- Remove trash and recyclables and dispose of them according to company procedures.
- Wash windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
- Properly care for, clean, and store cleaning tools, machines, and supplies.
- Inform the supervisor about repair needs, safety concerns, or low supply levels.
- Support room setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special assignments when requested.
- Always follow cleaning-related safety rules and internal operating procedures.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning work is beneficial.
- Must be able to work on your own and manage time efficiently.
- Should have basic familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety practices.
- Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality are important.
