Job Overview
Based in Dublin, this full-time, on-site position handles the organization and oversight of road freight operations throughout Europe. Responsibilities include scheduling pickups and deliveries, arranging transportation bookings, tracking shipment status, managing documentation and customs compliance, and ensuring adherence to company policies. Daily interaction with customers, carriers, and internal teams is integral for updates, troubleshooting, and maintaining service standards. Additional duties encompass cost verification, data entry into internal platforms, and promoting ongoing operational improvements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent communication abilities for effective coordination with clients, carriers, and colleagues.
- Strong operational management skills to plan routes, arrange shipments, and oversee daily transport functions.
- Customer service expertise for managing inquiries, expectations, and issue resolution in a professional manner.
- Knowledge of freight and supply chain management to handle transport procedures, documentation, and logistics flows.
- Previous experience in European road freight forwarding or transport operations is highly advantageous.
- Capability to perform accurately under pressure, with keen attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude.
- Proficiency with common office software and transport management systems; competence in additional European languages is a plus.
- Preferred educational background in logistics, supply chain, or related disciplines; relevant practical experience will also be considered.
Compensation
Salary range from 35000 to 44000 annually, dependent on experience.
