Role overview
An established international MEP contractor is seeking a senior European Director to guide the next stage of its growth across the continent. Based in Frankfurt, this position has responsibility for operations spanning several European countries and works closely with senior clients, project teams, and regional leadership. The role includes frequent travel across Europe, with a pattern that allows you to return home every weekend.
You will be accountable for maintaining strong operational performance across a portfolio of major projects while also supporting expansion into new markets.
Key responsibilities
- Provide leadership across multiple business functions for major MEP construction delivery throughout Europe.
- Oversee the successful execution of large-scale projects across different countries.
- Lead, coach, and develop Regional Directors, Project Directors, and senior operational teams.
- Build and sustain executive relationships with hyperscale, data centre, and mission-critical clients.
- Monitor and improve performance across operations, quality, programme, commercial outcomes, and HSE standards.
- Support business development efforts and help identify strategic growth opportunities.
- Strengthen regional capability, succession plans, and high-performing teams.
- Work with the board to deliver the long-term growth plan for the European business.
- Provide oversight from pre-construction through project completion.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate is a seasoned senior leader with extensive background in an MEP contracting environment and large-scale construction delivery. You should have a proven record of managing several complex projects at the same time across multiple European countries.
Strong commercial judgement is essential, including the ability to manage risk and improve project performance. You must also bring experience in developing executive-level client relationships, along with excellent leadership and people management capability.
This role requires a willingness to travel extensively across Europe while remaining based in Frankfurt. Experience in data centres, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, or similar mission-critical sectors would be a strong advantage.
