Estimator - Remedial Works

Overview

Freyssinet New Zealand is seeking a skilled Estimator to join its Auckland-based Remedial team. This role involves working on significant, technically demanding remedial and strengthening projects that protect key infrastructure throughout New Zealand.

Role Responsibilities

• Manage estimating and tendering from initial opportunity review to bid submission.
• Collaborate with technical and project teams to create competitive, innovative solutions for remedial works.
• Produce detailed, reliable cost estimates and develop construction methodologies and programs.
• Prepare high-quality tender documents and coordinate bid submissions.
• Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Contribute commercial and technical advice during pre-contract planning phases.
• Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Project Types

• Concrete repair and structural strengthening initiatives.
• Seismic strengthening projects.
• Infrastructure including bridges, wharves, industrial facilities, and commercial buildings.

Candidate Profile

• Commercially aware and detail-oriented, comfortable handling complex technical projects.
• Minimum five years' experience in estimating or pre-contract roles, preferably in remedial or specialist construction sectors.
• Proficient in cost estimation, bid coordination, tender documentation, planning, and method development.
• Preferably qualified as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience in sectors such as repairs, marine works, structural strengthening, or heavy construction is an advantage.
