Job description
Role overview
A leading infrastructure business in the South West is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its busy Project Division. The role is based in Somerset and focuses on mechanical and electrical estimating for a fast-moving delivery environment.
Compensation
The salary for this position is between £60,000 and £65,000 per year, depending on experience, along with additional benefits.
Key requirements
- You should bring at least 35 years of experience working as an estimator in building services or the M&E sector.
- A solid understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems is essential.
- You must have a track record of building accurate tender submissions and cost plans for projects.
- The ability to review and understand technical drawings and specifications is required.
- Strong proficiency with estimating tools and Microsoft Office applications is expected.
- You need good commercial judgement and a careful eye for detail.
Preferred background
- HNC, HND, or a degree in Building Services, Quantity Surveying, or a similar discipline is preferred.
- Experience across commercial, residential, and public sector projects would be an advantage.
