Role Overview
Engage in a pivotal Business Analyst position within a large-scale Tier-1 SaaS ERP implementation at a leading global retail company. This multi-year, strategic transformation, valued over £100 million, will redefine operational frameworks across multiple sites and more than 10,000 users worldwide. Ideal for professionals from retail, logistics, supply chain, wholesale, distribution, or similar sectors with experience in store or distribution centre operations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to capture current operational hurdles, strategic goals, and upcoming business needs.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to document existing and desired future business processes.
- Analyze complex procedures within Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing, Procurement, Inventory, Finance, and Retail functions.
- Convert business requirements into detailed user stories, functional specs, and acceptance criteria.
- Critique and enhance workflows by promoting simplification, standardization, and process improvements.
- Work closely with leadership, solution architects, project managers, developers, and implementation partners across the project lifecycle.
- Support ERP solution design ensuring alignment with operational requirements and business goals.
- Maintain requirements traceability throughout change management activities up to implementation.
- Assist in testing phases including User Acceptance Testing, ensuring smooth business adoption and readiness.
- Identify and manage risks, assumptions, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations proactively.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in major ERP implementations or complex business transformations.
- Background in Retail, Wholesale, Logistics, Distribution, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain sectors.
- Hands-on familiarity with end-to-end operational workflows such as Purchasing, Inventory, Warehousing, Order Management, and Fulfillment.
- Expertise in requirements gathering, process mapping, user story creation, and defining acceptance criteria.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation bridging business and technology teams.
- Ability to build trust and influence at multiple organizational levels.
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
- Commercially astute with a capability to balance business objectives against technical constraints.
- Strong communication, analytical, and pragmatic problem-solving skills centered on delivery outcomes.
