Job Responsibilities

  • Interpret and utilize blueprints and schematics for pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical systems, and small power tools to perform maintenance.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and perform repairs on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic production equipment.
  • Install and maintain electrical systems, including high voltage components up to 600 volts.
  • Troubleshoot production equipment breakdowns and mechanical component issues, including motors.
  • Read schematics and perform testing on electrical wiring and components.
  • May be tasked with moving and installing equipment on-site.
  • Maintain accurate records related to maintenance activities and adhere to safety procedures.
  • Participate in safety committees or initiatives as required.
  • Inspect machinery visually and by sound to detect malfunctions.
  • Dismantle defective machinery for repair and carry out lubrication and cleaning of parts such as shafts, bearings, and gears.
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical apparatus, transformers, wiring, hydraulic and pneumatic pipe systems, including gauges and valves.
  • Repair and upkeep the physical structure of the facility.
  • Install, program, or repair automated machinery.
  • Use machine tools for fabricating or repairing machine parts, operate welding equipment or cutting torches.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • At least four years of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Competent in reading blueprints and schematics.
  • Skilled in basic troubleshooting, including work with three-phase equipment up to 600 volts.
  • Ability to wire electrical panels and install equipment from scratch.
  • Reliable attendance and the ability to work at heights of 25 feet or more.
  • Capability to stand, bend, stoop, lift, walk, and climb ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet.
  • Comfortable working in diverse outdoor conditions such as heat, cold, rain, dust, and dry environments.
  • Team-oriented and positive attitude.

Working Environment

While most equipment areas are air-conditioned, some responsibilities require working outdoors in varying weather conditions including extremes of temperature and dust.
