Position Summary

Ganotec is looking for an experienced EPC Deputy Project Manager to aid in overseeing complex EPC projects. The role involves managing all project execution stages including scope, timeline, cost, quality, and safety standards. Collaboration with engineering, procurement, construction, and client teams is key to delivering large infrastructure projects successfully.

Location and Work Arrangements

This role is based in the U.S.A and candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. or able to secure a TN visa, requiring Canadian citizenship and a Bachelor of Engineering. The position involves travel arrangements that might include fly-in/fly-out schedules (10/4) or temporary relocation for 1-2 years depending on project requirements.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring EPC project delivery aligns with contracts, objectives, and client needs.
  • Manage engineering outputs, procurement schedules, and construction milestones.
  • Track project costs, monitor timelines, and proactively address risks.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure materials and services arrive on time.
  • Engage in constructability assessments and support planning for fieldwork execution.
  • Maintain project documentation including plans, progress updates, and financial forecasts.
  • Contribute to safety program planning and enforcement throughout project phases.
  • Build productive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and teams.
  • Guide and develop junior team members fostering a cooperative work environment.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction or EPC execution, ideally within power delivery or heavy industry sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Competent in project scheduling, cost management, and reading engineering documents.
  • Experience with project management software like Primavera P6, SAP, Prolog, or Hard Dollar is beneficial.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively under fast-paced conditions.
  • Willingness to travel and work on active construction sites with varying environments.
  • Valid driver’s license mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual base salary ranges from 120000 to 145000 USD, subject to variation based on education, experience, and skills.
