Role Overview

This position involves conducting monitoring and measurement activities for environmental compliance parameters and equipment. The Environmental Specialist supports environmental inspections and delivers training sessions to strengthen the competency of environment teams. They are responsible for maintaining accurate environment-related documentation in accordance with defined quality standards. Their work also includes compliance monitoring of key health, safety, and environment (HSE) parameters and aiding in inspections and training facilitation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a similar field.
• At least five years’ experience in environmental compliance within industrial facilities.
• Proficient in environmental permitting, inspections, monitoring, and reporting processes.
• Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems, particularly ISO 14001 standards.
• Experience delivering environmental education and awareness initiatives.
• Competency in environmental data evaluation and reporting techniques.
• Preferred: Certification as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO).

Regional Expertise

• Understanding of Saudi Arabian environmental regulatory bodies and frameworks such as National Center for Environmental Compliance (NCEC), National Center for Waste Management (MWAN), Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission (NRRC), and Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCY).
• Familiarity with RCER-2025 environmental permitting regulations.

• Knowledgeable in waste management practices.
• Proficient in delivering environmental training.
• Experienced in investigating environmental incidents.
• Conducting environmental risk assessments.

• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and environmental database management.
