Environmental Services Aide

Role Overview

The Environmental Services Aide at Archbold Grady Hospital is tasked with maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors alike. This position involves both routine cleaning and addressing additional sanitation needs as they arise.

Primary Duties

• Perform regular cleaning and upkeep to maintain sanitary conditions in patient and staff areas.
• Identify and address additional cleaning tasks beyond scheduled routines.
• Collect and dispose of trash efficiently and responsibly.
• Clean spills and marks from various surfaces promptly.
• Manage inventory and proper use of cleaning supplies.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols regarding cleaning materials and chemicals.
• Deliver exceptional customer service during interactions with patients, families, coworkers, and visitors.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned to support hospital operations.
• Contribute positively to the overall patient experience at the hospital.

Qualifications

• Preferred completion of high school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in cleaning or sanitation roles is advantageous.
• A compassionate and considerate demeanor is essential.
