Job description
Role Overview
The Environmental Services Aide at Archbold Grady Hospital is tasked with maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors alike. This position involves both routine cleaning and addressing additional sanitation needs as they arise.
Primary Duties
- Perform regular cleaning and upkeep to maintain sanitary conditions in patient and staff areas.
- Identify and address additional cleaning tasks beyond scheduled routines.
- Collect and dispose of trash efficiently and responsibly.
- Clean spills and marks from various surfaces promptly.
- Manage inventory and proper use of cleaning supplies.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols regarding cleaning materials and chemicals.
- Deliver exceptional customer service during interactions with patients, families, coworkers, and visitors.
- Execute additional responsibilities as assigned to support hospital operations.
- Contribute positively to the overall patient experience at the hospital.
Qualifications
- Preferred completion of high school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in cleaning or sanitation roles is advantageous.
- A compassionate and considerate demeanor is essential.
