- Carry out risk assessments and facilitate the implementation of control strategies.
- Lead detailed incident investigations to identify root causes and apply preventive measures.
- Organize internal audits and support audits by external regulators and certification bodies.
- Track EHS performance indicators and pinpoint improvement opportunities.
- Support sustainability efforts, environmental reporting, and ESG targets.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate EHS factors during project execution.
- Establish strong rapport with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to foster a proactive safety culture.
- Guide, coach, and mentor junior EHS staff and operations teams.
- Maintain comprehensive EHS documentation and aid in compliance reporting.
Candidate Profile
You should be an experienced EHS professional who thrives in cooperative work environments and influences positive results through expertise, clear communication, and professional credibility. Managing numerous priorities and liaising with a diverse group of stakeholders while supporting projects from inception to delivery will be part of your role. Critically, you enjoy mentoring others, raising standards, and fostering continuous improvement across the organization.
Experience & Qualifications
- At least five years in an Environmental, Health & Safety capacity within a regulated sector.
- Background in pharmaceutical, life sciences, manufacturing, or comparable highly regulated industries.
- Comprehensive knowledge of EHS management systems and Irish regulatory frameworks.
- Proficient in conducting audits, investigations, and compliance evaluations.
- Capable of handling multiple projects and collaborating across departments.
- Proven track record of influencing stakeholders and cultivating productive relationships.
- Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or a related field.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar professional certification.
- Additional credentials in Sustainability or Environmental Management are a plus.
Core Competencies
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Leadership achieved through influence and example rather than formal authority.
- Flexible and oriented towards practical solutions.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities.
- Dedicated to ongoing improvement and professional growth.
- Upholds high standards of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
Why this Role?
This position offers the chance to become a recognized technical authority within a supportive and collaborative organization, where your expertise will directly impact safety performance, sustainability efforts, and operational excellence.
