Job description
Role Overview
This contract position involves providing Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) oversight for evening construction activities within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility based in Limerick. The chosen candidate will ensure that construction works adhere strictly to safety standards, site procedures, and applicable legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver EHS support activities during construction phases.
- Oversee contractor actions to guarantee compliance with safety protocols at the site.
- Perform regular site inspections and record safety observations.
- Encourage a culture prioritizing safety and intervene promptly to address unsafe conditions or behaviors.
- Ensure all required permits, risk assessments, and work method statements are correctly implemented.
- Collaborate effectively with project teams, contractors, and clients to facilitate safe project completion.
Knowledge and Experience
- Educational background in Occupational Health and Safety or a similar field.
- Preferably holds PSCS/PSDP certification.
- Possesses up-to-date First Aid certification.
- Experience in supporting construction or engineering projects, preferably in pharmaceutical or industrial settings.
- Excellent communication skills with confidence in managing onsite safety issues.
- Capable of working autonomously and making appropriate safety decisions.
Contract Details
- Contract length ranges from three to six months.
