Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Consultant/Engineer to join our team and support the management and execution of contaminated land projects across New Zealand. This position involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, conducting assessments to identify contaminants and their origins in land development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site investigations including soil and groundwater sampling and analysis.
- Perform historical site reviews to identify potential contamination sources.
- Prepare detailed technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Work alongside geotechnical, civil, and structural engineering teams to integrate environmental solutions into project designs.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a relevant tertiary qualification such as Environmental Science, Geology/Geoscience, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Have between 2 to 6 years of professional experience in a similar environmental role, preferably involving contaminated land projects.
- Demonstrate keen attention to detail, strong planning abilities, technical report writing proficiency, and effective problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience collaborating with geotechnical and/or civil engineers is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Possess practical knowledge of construction practices and experience working alongside contractors.
- Enjoy working in a cooperative team environment and effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders.
