Environment, Health and Safety Manager

About the Role

China State Construction Middle East (CSCEC ME) is seeking an experienced Environment, Health, and Safety Manager to lead the HSE team for a new High Rise Towers project located in Dubai. The role involves ensuring the maintenance of a safe and healthy environment for all employees and visitors involved in the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate the promotion of a secure and healthy workplace for staff and visitors.
• Prioritize HSE by continuously enhancing safety through thorough action planning and adherence to best practice processes.
• Drive the implementation and enforcement of Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Organize and execute training programs to familiarize team members with HSE protocols and documentation.
• Update and revise existing Health & Safety procedures on a regular basis to maintain compliance and effectiveness.
• Perform frequent internal audits to verify compliance with established safety procedures.
• Communicate and coordinate with clients to keep them informed on internal Health & Safety procedures.
• Review and provide feedback on contractor-submitted Occupational Health & Safety manuals and related documents.
• Oversee the HSE staff by assigning inspection duties and scheduling training to meet project needs.
• Maintain detailed records of all incidents and accidents on site, issuing non-conformance notices as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a degree in Health and Safety or Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience specifically in High Rise Tower projects.
• NEBOSH certification is required.
