About the Role
This position targets career changers, including those returning from parental leave, who aim to gain specialized knowledge in the vital field of construction site safety along railway networks. During the approximately one-year retraining period, you will receive a competitive salary while progressively learning the necessary theoretical and practical skills. The training combines nearby theoretical classes and practical assignments within your intended work region, supported by experienced colleagues to facilitate a smooth transition into your new career. Post-training, you become a fully responsible team member, contributing independently to safety on railway construction sites across numerous locations in Schleswig-Holstein.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and ensure the safety of personnel at rail construction sites as part of a team.
- Warn workers in track areas of approaching trains using multiple signaling methods and modern warning systems.
- Implement safety regulations and guide new safety personnel on site.
- Coordinate smoothly with various stakeholders to guarantee seamless operations.
- Independently manage and supervise site safety measures.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum age of 18 years and possession of a secondary school (Hauptschule) certificate.
- No prior experience required, but reliability and confidence in maintaining safety are essential.
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong German communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Flexible regarding night/weekend shifts and varying work locations.
- Possession of a Class B driving license and a personal vehicle is preferred but not mandatory.
