Entry Level Engineers - Satellite/Space Systems Rotational Program

About the Program

Boeing's Defense, Space and Security division is recruiting Entry Level Engineers for a comprehensive rotational program based in El Segundo, California. This program spans approximately three years and offers a structured pathway involving mentoring, training, and leadership skill development aimed at fostering future-ready technical leaders within the aerospace and satellite systems domain. Job locations may also include Seal Beach and Huntington Beach, CA for certain rotations.

Program Overview and Responsibilities

• Participants will immerse themselves in a wide array of engineering areas including satellite technology, network communications, and information assurance through hands-on involvement and project work.
• Rotations run every six to twelve months across various engineering disciplines such as electrical, aerospace, mechanical, and systems engineering, covering roles like space electronics, spacecraft systems, thermal/structural design, antenna design, and integration/testing activities.
• Emphasis on acclimating participants to the working environment and encouraging leadership development through coaching, counseling, and participation in professional and volunteer opportunities such as Engineers Week.
• Exposure to Lean engineering principles is incorporated throughout the program.
• Career guidance is provided to help participants explore technical and managerial career paths, culminating in broad networking opportunities with organizational leadership upon program completion.

Candidate Requirements

• Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related fields, completed by December 31, 2026.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory to obtain the required U.S. Security Clearance (Tier 5 or equivalent), essential to perform this role.
• Demonstrated leadership experience through internships, club presidencies, project management, or volunteer activities.
• Previous internship or relevant work experience is expected.
• Preferred candidates may possess an active U.S. security clearance and have coursework or project experience related to space or satellite systems.

• This is a first-shift, 100% onsite position at the designated California locations.

• Salary is competitive and ranges approximately from $79,050 to $106,950 annually, subject to experience and qualifications.
