Job description
Job purpose
This position focuses on putting in place risk data aggregation capabilities and enterprise risk management (ERM) systems, while also overseeing the existing landscape of enterprise risk products, processes, applications, and data. The role also serves as the backup and eventual successor to the section head.
Responsibilities
- Update, review, and improve policies, procedures, standards, and operating instructions so work is executed in a consistent and controlled way.
- Carry out routine operational tasks required to keep the function running smoothly.
- Design, develop, and maintain the functional, technical, and data architectures for ERM.
- Build and implement the Risk Data Aggregation framework and related processes in line with BCBS 239 and the bank’s strategic direction.
- Deploy and support ERM architecture solutions and associated systems.
- Work with key stakeholders to deliver ERM tools and technologies on time.
- Assess the current ERM environment and execute the roadmap needed to reach the target future state.
- Partner with Business Technology teams to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Coordinate integration of ERM systems with relevant source systems and platforms.
- Engage with vendors to identify suitable ERM technology options and support procurement or acquisition activities.
- Administer the OBIEE platform used by the Enterprise Risk Architecture stream.
- Support the section head and department head with other work related to the function.
- Act as the backup and successor for the section head.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and ways of working, with attention to global best practice, cost efficiency, and productivity.
- Prepare and deliver accurate departmental reports within required timelines and standards.
- Follow all safety, quality, and environmental policies and controls to help maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
- Handle any other duties or assignments assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics; a postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Professional certifications related to Enterprise Risk Architecture, IT Architecture, or Security Architecture.
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in the banking sector, specifically within Enterprise Risk and system/security architecture.
- Advanced English proficiency.

The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is a full-time, onsite position.
