Job description
Role overview
This position owns the rollout and upkeep of the bank’s enterprise risk data aggregation capability and enterprise risk management (ERM) systems. It also keeps the current portfolio of ERM products, processes, applications, and data running effectively, while serving as the designated backup and future replacement for the section head.
Key responsibilities
- Define, review, and improve departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so work is delivered in a controlled and consistent way.
- Carry out daily operational tasks related to the role to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Design, develop, and maintain the functional, technical, and data architecture for ERM.
- Build and execute the Risk Data Aggregation framework and supporting processes in line with BCBS 239 and the bank’s strategic direction.
- Implement and support ERM systems architecture and technology solutions.
- Work with internal stakeholders to deliver ERM tools and technologies on time.
- Assess the current ERM landscape and drive execution of the target-state roadmap.
- Partner with Business Technology teams to translate business needs into clear technical requirements.
- Coordinate integrations between ERM platforms and relevant source systems.
- Evaluate technology options with vendors and support the procurement or acquisition process for ERM solutions.
- Manage the OBIEE platform for the Enterprise Risk Architecture stream.
- Support the section head and department head with other function-related activities as needed.
- Act as the backup and successor for the section head role.
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance systems, processes, productivity, and cost efficiency.
- Prepare and deliver department reports accurately and on time in line with bank requirements and standards.
- Follow all safety, quality, and environmental policies, procedures, and controls to help maintain a healthy and safe workplace.
- Perform any other related assignment directed by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics; a postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Professional certification in Enterprise Risk Architecture, IT Architecture, or Security Architecture is preferred.
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in banking, specifically in enterprise risk and system/security architecture.
- Advanced English communication skills.

The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and is a full-time onsite position.
This position has leadership continuity responsibility, including acting as the successor and backup to the section head.
