Role overview

This opportunity is for an enterprise sales leader who wants to shape and grow a business, not just close individual deals. The position is with a high-growth, AI-led digital engineering consultancy hiring a Client Director in Ireland.

The role is split evenly between winning new enterprise logos and expanding strategic accounts, with the expectation that you will develop trusted relationships that can mature into a services portfolio worth €10m+ over time.

Unlike software or SaaS sales, the focus here is on selling engineering capacity, consulting expertise, and transformation delivery outcomes.

What you will be selling

You will engage senior enterprise stakeholders working through major change initiatives such as AI transformation, modernisation of digital platforms, cloud and data upgrades, software and product engineering at scale, and replacement or integration of legacy systems through services-led delivery.

Core responsibilities

You will balance new business development with growth of existing enterprise accounts across Ireland, operating with significant autonomy and ownership.

Essential experience

This role requires a proven record of managing a true 50/50 split between new business acquisition and account expansion in enterprise sales. You must also have direct experience selling consulting or professional services, rather than software products, and be comfortable navigating complex enterprise transformation programmes involving AI, data, digital, cloud, or engineering services.

Not a fit for this role

This position is not suitable for candidates whose background is limited to enterprise SaaS, telecoms or carrier solutions, pre-sales or solution engineering alone, delivery-only consulting without sales quota ownership, or account management without responsibility for bringing in new business.

Ideal background

The strongest matches are people who have sold technology consulting, product engineering services, digital transformation programmes, or cloud, AI, and data-led solutions into enterprise organisations.
