Role overview

Zendesk is seeking an Enterprise Account Executive in Canada to help expand its enterprise presence by winning new business in the B2B SaaS market. The role is suited to a seasoned sales professional who enjoys prospecting, opening new accounts, and converting opportunities into long-term enterprise relationships. This position is centered on revenue generation, executive-level engagement, and guiding complex deals through to close.

Key responsibilities

  • Generate new enterprise revenue across Canada by acquiring fresh customers.
  • Design and execute a territory strategy built around proactive hunting, account discovery, and market penetration.
  • Develop a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities through outbound outreach, networking, referrals, and partner collaboration.
  • Run multi-stakeholder, consultative sales processes that may extend over several months and include proof-of-concept stages.
  • Build credibility with C-suite and VP-level leaders and position Zendesk as a strategic business partner.
  • Deliver persuasive presentations that connect Zendesk’s offering to each customer’s business goals and priorities.
  • Work closely with internal teams to refine outreach, move deals forward faster, and improve win rates.
  • Maintain reliable forecasting and consistently outperform quarterly and annual new-business targets.
  • Stay informed about Zendesk’s products, competitive landscape, and enterprise SaaS trends in Canada.
  • Use data, market insight, and territory intelligence to prioritize outreach and identify untapped opportunities in target accounts.

Candidate profile

  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • At least 8 years of enterprise sales experience in cloud or software B2B environments, with a strong emphasis on closing new logos.
  • A solid record of exceeding quota, with consistent strong performance in 2 of the last 3 years; President’s Club recognition is considered an advantage.
  • Comfort managing complex sales motions and renewals, including value-led, multi-month cycles with proof-of-concept steps.
  • Experience working with customer organizations that generate more than $1 billion in revenue.
  • Demonstrated success selling to VP-level and C-level decision-makers in enterprise accounts.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing capabilities.
  • Experience building and using territory and account plans effectively.
  • An entrepreneurial attitude, collaborative working style, and motivation for continuous growth.
  • Proven industry awareness with the ability to understand market dynamics, engage key stakeholders, and build champion relationships.
  • Working knowledge of sales tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, Clari, Seismic, and Looker.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites.
  • English fluency is required for communication with anglophone clients outside Quebec.

Work model and company information

This position is based in Canada with a remote-friendly setup and a hybrid way of working. Zendesk’s approach combines in-person collaboration at office locations with flexibility to work remotely for part of the week.
