Overview
This remote role offers the chance to assist individuals and families in gaining better access to specialized healthcare services by functioning as a reliable initial contact. The Enrollment Specialist guides patients through enrollment, education, and coordination of care, working collaboratively with clinical and operational teams to enhance patient outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Engage in outreach with individuals interested in healthcare services, articulating program options and resources clearly.
- Conduct initial consultations to collect patient or caregiver information essential for care coordination.
- Coordinate cognitive health screening programs and support enrollment drives.
- Accurately obtain and document medical history from patients while safeguarding confidentiality.
- Arrange and manage appointments between patients, caregivers, clinicians, and external partners.
- Assist patients with navigating digital healthcare platforms by providing guidance and technical support.
- Maintain precise records within multiple systems, managing real-time data during patient interactions.
- Adhere strictly to established procedures, communication protocols, and documentation standards.
- Ensure every interaction is professional, empathetic, and centered on patient needs.
- Collaborate with clinical and operations teams to improve engagement workflows continually.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, able to interact effectively with patients, caregivers, and internal stakeholders.
- Customer service orientation demonstrated by patience, empathy, and a supportive approach towards individuals and families.
- Experience in call center environments handling high volumes of inbound and/or outbound calls.
- Background in healthcare, telehealth, or patient service sectors is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Medicare, insurance, and healthcare system processes is beneficial.
- Experience assisting older adults or seniors compassionately.
- Excellent documentation capabilities, with high typing precision and attention to detail.
- Competency managing multiple software platforms simultaneously, including live documentation.
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and operate digital healthcare tools.
- Proficient with Google Workspace or similar productivity applications.
- Excellent organizational skills to handle complex information flows and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Capacity to perform independently within a fully remote work setting.
