English & Writing Teacher (Full-time)

About the Role

The Write Connection Singapore is looking for an English and Writing Teacher to guide primary and secondary students in building strong language skills, confidence, and critical thinking. The role is part of a team of more than 100 education professionals focused on delivering high-quality English instruction that develops students both academically and personally.

Responsibilities

• Deliver approximately 10 to 12 classes each week, including taking over lessons for colleagues when required.
• Run structured, lively English lessons using teaching materials prepared by the internal curriculum team.
• Create a classroom atmosphere that is safe, encouraging, and supportive of a growth mindset.
• Assess student work carefully, return it promptly, and provide clear feedback that helps students improve.
• Maintain strong communication with parents and keep them informed about both academic progress and personal development.
• Take part in weekly professional development meetings.

Requirements

• A degree from a well-regarded university, ideally in Law, Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong academic results, especially in English and General Paper.
• Genuine interest in teaching English and writing to primary and secondary students; prior teaching experience is helpful but not mandatory.
• Willingness to strengthen teaching skills and adapt strategies for students with different abilities and learning needs.
• Open to adopting the organisation’s teaching approach and values.
• Good interpersonal and communication abilities for working with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong sense of responsibility and professionalism.
• Ability to teach and mark efficiently while handling a workload of up to 12 classes per week.
• Availability to work 5 days per week, either 4 weekdays plus 1 weekend day or 3 weekdays plus 2 weekend days.
