Job description
Role Summary
We are seeking an English Specialist to join our team on a part-time remote basis. This position involves assessing and grading English language proficiency tests, focusing on evaluating responses from non-native speakers to ensure correctness and compliance with set standards.
Key Duties
- Assess written and spoken English responses for competency.
- Assign grades using predefined grading rubrics and criteria.
- Deliver consistent and transparent feedback regarding language skills.
- Keep detailed records of assessment outcomes for quality control.
- Observe tight deadlines and uphold confidentiality of testing materials.
Qualifications
- Must possess native or near-native English language proficiency.
- Experience in language evaluation, teaching, or similar domains is advantageous.
- Demonstrated meticulousness and ability to adhere to evaluation protocols.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of language proficiency standards such as the CEFR framework is beneficial.
