Role overview

This remote contractor position focuses on reviewing and improving English-language AI outputs, as well as creating high-quality language content when needed. The work is paid on an hourly basis and is part of an AI data services organization that supports major AI companies and foundation-model teams with training data.

You will examine AI-generated responses for accuracy, natural phrasing, clarity, and alignment with the prompt. The role also calls for identifying mistakes in reasoning, meaning, method, or understanding; checking facts where necessary; and drafting clear explanations and corrected versions that show the right approach. You will compare multiple outputs and judge them based on correctness and reasoning quality.

Key responsibilities

• Write prompts and sample responses on different topics to support AI training.
• Review and score model outputs to improve accuracy, fluency, and relevance to context.
• Check models for factual issues, reasoning gaps, and possible bias across use cases.
• Provide detailed, practical feedback that explains what should be corrected and why.
• Produce revised explanations or model answers that demonstrate the proper method.
• Compare multiple responses and select the strongest option based on quality and logic.

Profile and qualification requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Linguistics, English, Translation/Localization, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline is expected.
• Advanced English ability is required, with C2 or native-level capability preferred and at least C1 proficiency mandatory.
• Knowledge of one additional language at a professional level is strongly preferred.
• Strong command of grammar, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, discourse, and stylistic editing across different tones and registers is needed.
• The role requires sharp attention to detail and the ability to spot subtle errors, ambiguity, and meaning shifts while explaining fixes clearly in writing.
• You should be comfortable applying style standards and keeping terminology, punctuation, capitalization, and tone consistent.
• Experience in AI data work, annotation, editorial quality assurance, localization QA, or professional copyediting is highly preferred.
• Hands-on familiarity with tools such as Perplexity, Gemini, ChatGPT, and similar AI platforms is expected.
• The work environment requires self-direction, reliability, and the ability to maintain consistent output in a remote, hourly contractor setup across time zones.
