Role Overview

The organization is seeking an English Copywriter for its tourism account in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on producing high-quality written material for a wide variety of communication channels while keeping messaging aligned with brand standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce polished written content for thought leadership pieces, social media copy, press releases, advertisements, newsletters, website content, and similar formats.
• Maintain clarity, accuracy, brevity, and consistency in all content while following the client’s brand guidelines.
• Work closely with internal teams, external partners, subject matter specialists, and other stakeholders to collect information and build content.
• Carry out research on sector trends, competitor activity, and audience behavior to shape content and thought leadership direction.
• Review, refine, and edit material prepared by colleagues or external contributors to ensure quality and consistency.
• Make sure all deliverables match client standards, brand language, and style requirements.
• Support and mentor new team members and junior writers so they can strengthen their writing approach and align with best practices.
• Keep client messaging documents and style guides current, reflecting the latest updates and approved practices.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant should have a bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline. A minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior writing capacity or similar position is expected, ideally with a background in journalism, B2B, or government work. Experience in the GCC region is considered an advantage.

Applicants should bring a strong writing portfolio showing versatility across short-form marketing copy as well as long-form articles and opinion pieces. Excellent English skills are essential, while Arabic is an added advantage. The role also requires strong editing, proofreading, research, and analytical abilities, along with the capacity to simplify complex information for different audiences.
