The operations function is responsible for delivering services to clients while maintaining QIMA’s quality standards in every assignment.

Role summary

This position is for a professional English-Chinese Translator and Interpreter who will work closely with Factory Auditors. The main purpose of the role is to ensure clear and accurate communication between auditors and factory teams through written translation and live interpretation.

Key responsibilities

• Convert a range of written content, including audit reports, technical materials, correspondence, and policy documents, between English and Chinese with accuracy and clarity.
• Support factory audits by providing live interpretation during site visits, meetings, interviews, and discussions between auditors and factory representatives.
• Help auditors understand Chinese-language documents, local regulations, and cultural context that may affect the audit process.
• Serve as the communication link between English-speaking auditors and Chinese-speaking factory staff to keep exchanges smooth and effective.
• Keep precise records of translated materials and interpretation activities for reporting and reference purposes.
• Approach all interactions with professionalism and awareness of cultural differences.

Requirements

• Strong command of both English and Chinese, with excellent written and spoken communication ability in each language.
• Prior experience in translation and interpretation, ideally within a corporate or industrial environment.
• Good people skills and the ability to connect well with individuals from different cultural backgrounds.
• High attention to detail and a strong sense of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
• A bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Translation or interpretation certification/accreditation is considered an added advantage.

This is an onsite role based in Yanbu, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
