Role overview

Diakonie Kork is looking to strengthen its teaching team for the 2026/27 school year with an English specialist teacher. The position can be filled on a full-time or part-time basis and is initially limited to one school year.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver differentiated learning opportunities focused on competency-based education.
  • Support students individually and guide them according to their needs.
  • Co-teach classes and work alongside colleagues in shared teaching settings.
  • Take over class leadership if required.
  • Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to conceptual and curriculum-related development work.

What you need to bring

  • Either the first and second state examinations for teaching at lower secondary school, gymnasium, or special education level, or official recognition of teaching qualification for lower or upper secondary education by the regional authority.
  • German language proficiency at C2 level.
  • Sound understanding of current topics in education.
  • A supportive, inclusive attitude toward integration and shared learning.
  • Commitment, adaptability, resilience, team spirit, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Interest in actively shaping school life and development.
  • Willingness to support the Christian ethos of the institution.
