Job description

Role Overview

This contract role is for a specialist who can read, interpret, and explain engineering and technical materials with a high level of accuracy. The work is remote and involves part-time to near full-time availability, ranging from 10 to 40 hours per week. Compensation is set at $40 to $50 per hour.

What You’ll Do

  • Examine a variety of technical assets such as engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD outputs, and schematics, then extract their meaning accurately.
  • Create clear rubrics and step-by-step evaluation guidelines for assessing visual and technical documentation.
  • Describe technical diagrams, tables, and charts in detail so domain-specific information is represented correctly.
  • Review, mark up, and clarify complex technical content to support advanced labeling and comprehension workflows.
  • Work with project leads and technical experts to make sure outputs meet project objectives and quality expectations.
  • Convert complex engineering and construction ideas into straightforward instructional content that can be used for AI model development.

What We’re Looking For

  • Solid experience in engineering, construction, architecture, manufacturing, or a closely related technical field.
  • Strong ability to interpret and produce technical documentation, including blueprints, engineering drawings, CAD files, and schematics.
  • Experience in roles such as Mechanical Engineer, Civil Engineer, Architect, Industrial Engineer, Construction Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, or CAD Specialist is especially relevant.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with a focus on precision and clarity when working with technical topics.
  • Ability to turn visual information and complicated concepts into organized, easy-to-follow formats.
  • Prior experience building rubrics, checklists, or instructional materials for technical or learning purposes is an added advantage.
