Engineering Supervisor - Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah

Join our esteemed Hotels team as an Engineering Supervisor and play a pivotal role in maintaining the seamless operation of all engineering activities at Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will manage and sustain hotel systems, plant, equipment, and oversee maintenance of the physical property. This role not only involves ensuring smooth repairs and system upkeep but also embodies spreading warmth and exceptional hospitality by enhancing every guest's experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all facility safety standards and regulatory compliance are met across building infrastructure, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems.
• Coordinate and assign daily maintenance tasks, guaranteeing detailed recording of completed jobs within the property's management system.
• Lead, train, and supervise the maintenance team to uphold high work quality and performance.
• Manage subcontractors, oversee their work quality, and verify compliance with standards.
• Promptly address maintenance requests, guest concerns, and emergencies to maintain service excellence.
• Maintain operational efficiency by repairing hotel systems and equipment, overseeing stock levels, and flagging deficiencies to management.
• Control departmental costs by evaluating reuse of materials, managing inventory, and adhering to budgets and profit margins.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing/Gas Fitting strongly preferred.
• Solid general engineering knowledge with a strong trade background.
• Minimum of five years experience in a Service Technician or equivalent role, preferably within a five-star hotel environment.
