Key responsibilities
The role covers implementation of the project quality plan and the Alfanar quality management system, including coordination of quality inspections with clients, consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Implement the QMS and oversee civil project quality control and quality assurance activities.
- Manage quality-related coordination with clients, consultants, vendors, and inspection agencies.
- Keep updated manuals, standards, client specifications, technical data sheets, handbooks, catalogues, ITP copies, and other inspection documents.
- Check vendor credentials, approvals, certifications, and third-party accreditations.
- Maintain QA/QC records such as logbooks, weekly reports, internal inspection reports, and NCRs.
- Prepare quality documents including ITP, MOS, checklists, PQI documents, and weekly QA/QC reports.
- Support the lesson learned program to reduce punch points during project handover.
- Ensure work is executed according to PTS, IFC drawings, and approved method statements.
- Verify that work is properly prepared before inspection and inspected at the required stages.
- Confirm that all materials and equipment meet contract, plan, standard, and PTS requirements before incorporation into the project.
- Ensure necessary testing is completed and results are checked against requirements.
- Handle site installation inspections and material receiving inspections, and report findings to the relevant authorities.
- Track inspection and testing requirements and data against project PTS.
- Ensure inspection and testing equipment is maintained and calibrated.
- Perform inspections and testing according to the approved plan.
- Prepare checklists and RFIs for consultant approvals and inspections.
- Coordinate QC matters with execution, project management, client, and consultant teams.
- Liaise with independent testing laboratories, follow up on material test reports, and submit them to the consultant.
- Report quality matters to the Project Manager and keep the TQM Manager informed.
- Store quality records in a traceable, accessible, and secure manner, with proper QC document logs.
- Review test results and recommend actions to the Project Manager where needed.
- Train and guide subordinates, distribute assignments fairly, and support teamwork and morale.
- Deliver planned activities within schedule, cost, and resource targets.
- Provide periodic progress updates highlighting deviations from plan and execution status.
- Resolve routine issues and escalate more complex operational problems when required.
- Maintain quality standards in line with applicable specifications, systems, and processes.
- Support process improvement through clear procedures, policies, and automation opportunities.
- Follow company policies, procedures, work instructions, and compliance requirements.
- Observe health, safety, quality, and environmental controls to ensure safe and compliant delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
