Engineer - Plant & Machinery (Site)

Role Overview

This position focuses on overseeing the day-to-day functioning, maintenance, and performance tracking of construction plant and machinery at a project location. The objective is to keep equipment ready for use, follow maintenance plans, maintain safety and compliance standards, and ensure machines are used efficiently so project work continues without interruption.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation and upkeep of all site equipment and construction machinery, with an emphasis on availability and reliable performance.
• Carry out preventive maintenance planning through schedules and checklists, while working with site personnel and external vendors to complete servicing activities.
• Track fuel usage, machine deployment, and downtime, and take corrective action to reduce avoidable losses.
• Make sure equipment handling and operation follow OEM instructions, safety requirements, and applicable statutory rules.
• Assist with moving equipment to and from the site, including the necessary records and documentation.

Additional Information

This role is site-based and is centered on supporting construction execution through effective plant and machinery management. The work requires close coordination with project teams, service providers, and equipment operators to maintain uninterrupted operations.
